A Glimpse into the
Life of Iain Nicklin
The adventure started early—at three years old, staring out the window of our new home in Jakarta Indonesia, mesmerized by a tropical storm lighting up the night sky. Since then, life has taken me across five continents, four languages, and a mix of careers, passions, and creative pursuits.
I’ve taken chances, stumbled, learned, and grown—but through every chapter, music has always been the constant.
That first spark came from watching Lisa Simpson play the saxophone (true story). Since then, I’ve written, played, and produced music everywhere life has taken me—from audio engineering in LA to renewable energy in San Francisco, to earning my MBA at USC Marshall.
As a certified audio engineer, I’ve composed for YouTube Premium series, indie games, short films, and collaborated with some incredible LA-based artists. I play piano, guitar, bass, and whatever else helps tell the story.
These days, I’m based in Los Angeles with my amazing wife and daughter—still creating, still exploring, and getting ready to release new music in 2025.
If you're looking for music that brings heart, energy, and storytelling into your project, you’re in the right place. All of my work is available for licensing—so if something resonates, let’s talk.
